Back End Developer

We’re looking for a seasoned engineer to join a very talented team working on the awesome BigDatr platform. The lucky candidate will be involved in many aspects – helping evolve our existing architecture, working with teams to improve operations, and implementing new features and functionality.

What does a success look like?

  • An experienced back-end developer with practical Java and Node.js experience
  • Demonstrated experience with API development
  • Eager to join an innovative product development team that emphasises creative problem solving
  • Enjoys fast development cycles and shipping code efficiently
  • Thinking outside the box creating new features

Must haves

  • Experience with Spring and/or Akka;
  • Experience with MongoDB;
  • Comfortable, and even excited about, working outside your comfort zone;
  • Use Test driven development.

QA Test Analyst/Developer

As an experienced QA Test Analyst/Developer you will be an instrumental member of our team, who continually push the boundaries of how technology and ‘Big­Data’ provide exciting marketing & advertising insights. You will have previous experience as a Test Analyst, testing modern languages and technologies and will be tertiary qualified in a relevant field. Ideally you will have worked in Agile environments and will be confident working both independently and as part of a team. The successful candidate needs to have a "get up and go" attitude and always wanting to learn more.

What does a success look like?

  • Work with developers writing unit tests and building automated test scripts;
  • Develop test plans based on business requirements;
  • Work to project priorities and deadlines;
  • Write and maintain test plans and test cases;
  • Proactively seek out new testing practices and tools to improve test coverage and efficiency;
  • Report on the progress of testing;
  • Develop strong knowledge of the product suite and participate in feature design discussions;
  • Participate in Product Development meetings and think tank sessions.

UX/UI Product Designer & Developer

As an experienced UX/UI Designer/Developer (specifically web/mobile applications) you will be an instrumental member of our team, who continually push the boundaries of how technology and ‘Big-Data’ provide exciting marketing & advertising insights.

What does a success look like?

  • Execute design with the use of but not limited to CSS/SASS, HTML, JS and ensuring best practice coding standards are achieved.
  • Work closely with product owners to facilitate workshops to define design concepts
  • Ensure that designs are fully understood throughout the team through constant communication
  • Work closely with developers and business unit to ensure smooth delivery
  • Work with sales and product team to develop UI / UX / UAT
  • Foster a design culture that will help create beautiful visual systems that showcase a suite of world­class applications.

Must haves

  • At least 3 years of web application and design experience, mobile app is a huge plus;
  • Advanced knowledge of SASS and CSS is essential (both current and future). JavaScript proficiency is also a plus;
  • a portfolio of work that demonstrates complex and creative UX solutions, exceptional visual design and solid information architecture;
  • A passion for all aspects of the design process, from research to interaction and visual design.
  • Ability to workshop and research problems with team members.
  • Willingness to create prototypes/mock­ups to communicate an idea ­ we do not view design as an afterthought.
  • Consider user experience implications and provide insight at every stage of development
  • Experience in requirements analysis and stakeholder (internal & external) management
  • Experience in prototyping/mock­ups for designs with tools like SKETCH, Origami;
  • Enjoy shipping small, quick experiments to validate your ideas and opinions;
  • Comfortable, and even excited about, working outside your comfort zone;
  • Ability to communicate design effectively, regardless of the audience (engineers, PMs, executives, other designers, etc.);
  • Has an established, repeatable and shareable design process that encourages collaboration between other designers and product teams.
